
Melissa Perkins, DPA, CFRE
PRINCIPAL
Melissa brings nearly 20 years of experience in advancement leadership to her role at BW+G. Her prior work includes 14 years in independent schools leading high performing advancement, marketing, and communications teams. Melissa works with boards, volunteer groups, and internal teams to build meaningful, actionable strategies to support organizational growth.
In addition to her work in education, Melissa led marketing and revenue generation for Girl Scouts of Connecticut and collaborated with the National Center for Construction Education and Research to build a fundraising program from the ground up. She has served as a policy advisor and financial strategist to multiple nonprofit organizations.
Melissa approaches her work with curiosity. She takes an innovative approach to solutions that help organizations define success on their own terms and build systems to create measurable impact. Melissa received multiple awards for her work in campaign design and constituent engagement from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) as well as the organization’s Rising Star Award in 2012. She is a winner of the Girl Scout’s Leadership Award and a member of Pi Alpha Alpha academic honor society.
